The sweet sound of well-tuned engines will echo through Deadwood and the Black Hills from Thursday, August 24, to Sunday, August 27, as hot rods, classic cars and vintage vehicles of all types gather for 23rd annual Kool Deadwood Nites. It’s the biggest celebration of the year for a town famous for big celebrations.
Free Main Street concerts during Kool Deadwood Nites include Jay & The Americans, The Classics IV, Britishmania Beatles Tribute and The Happenings.
8am-10am: Free breakfast for Rod Run participants – Lodge at Deadwood
9am-7pm: Car Registration – Lower Main Welcome Center

10am-2pm: 9th Annual Deadwood Rod Run – Escorted tour through beautiful Vanocker Canyon including a trip to the Sturgis Dragway, and a chance to run the track! Or, take a trek through famous Spearfish Canyon with a stop at Carsten’s Cottages for live entertainment and more! – Leaves from the Lodge at Deadwood
Noon-6pm: Owners Only BBQ – Deadwood Gulch Gaming Resort
2pm: Deadwood Alive Shootout! – In front of the Franklin Hotel
