See specimens millions of years old! Paleontologist “Fossil Finder” Frank Garcia shares his most memorable discoveries Friday, June 29 from 11 a.m. to noon at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs). Garcia has discovered over 200 different animals including 30 new species and a 1.5 million-year-old prehistoric animal graveyard. Budding paleontologists will enjoy hearing how he first became interested in fossils. His personal collection of specimens will be displayed including the largest sloth claw ever discovered!
During Garcia’s 60-year career he has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, CNN and PBS.
