The Humane Society of the Black Hills will hold its first Mutt-ster Mash Pet Costume Contest on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m.
This will be a fun, family, pet-friendly event for you to show off your costume and – more importantly – your pet’s costume!
The Humane Society of the Black Hills will close at 1 p.m. so employees can enjoy the event that will include a raffle, drawings, prizes, the costume contests and fun!
The Day’s Events

- Doggy Costume Contest: Costume contest for dogs! Prizes awarded!
- Raffle: Winner gets a basket of goodies. Tickets may be bought at HSBH when event is announce until 3 p.m. on 10/28. Tickets are $1 each. Do not have to be present to win.
- Pup-cake walk: Cake walk, numbers will be laid on the ground in a circle. Participants walk to music, when the music stops whoever is standing on the number drawn gets a treat!
- Halloween pictures: Pictures to add to the fun! Donations optional.
- Trick-or-treat!: Candy will be provided for children in costume (or not!) and treats for pups.
