Come celebrate Pi Day a “fraction” early at Racing Magpie! We’ll be serving all sorts of pies and other refreshments to celebrate the intersection of the arts and community – all in the name of a wonderful ratio!
Racing Magpie will be open late from 5-8pm to showcase its modern Native art gallery and the dozen artists who have studios in the building. Come enjoy our beautiful Native art and the studios of Native and non-Native artists. Find amazing gifts for families and friends!
Art forms represented through the studio artists include traditional Lakota breastplates, books, painting, photography, printmaking, and ledger art. Come visit this new Rapid City arts location in a beautiful historic building and support just a few of the amazing artists who call Rapid City and the Black Hills home.
A local musician, Mark Mowry Music, joining us via the South Dakota Songwriters, will be our musical guest for the evening. We will also feature a relaxed, open musical jam for anyone who wants to sing/strum/drum a few bars.
