It’s time for the third annual K93K and Dog Carnival (www.hsbh.org/event/k93k/ ) at the Humane Society of the Black Hills (HSBH)! On Saturday, June 12, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the HSBH, 1820 E. St. Patrick Street, we’ll be kicking off our season of summer events with the dogs.
The pet and family-friendly fundraiser for the Humane Society starts at 10 a.m. with a 3K fun run/walk along the Humane Society’s walking path – dog entrants are just $10 each and humans are free! Then, between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., enjoy the featured booths right on the lawn of the Humane Society. We have new opportunities this year, including low-cost pet microchipping, dog agility equipment, and volunteer signup!
The dog-friendly event wouldn’t be complete without canine contests for best trick, waggiest tale, and biggest smile, a dog wash, and a chance to throw a pie at an Animal Services and Enforcement Officer and a featured Rapid City-City Council member! This outdoor event is suited for everyone – you and your trusted pup won’t want to miss it.
