At a Smithfields Food plant in Smithfield, VA, an employee has been accused of urinating on meat on a production line. The incident was caught on camera and appears to show the employee take off his gloves and relieve himself into the equipment.
The plant issued a statement saying that when they saw the incident occur on camera, the line was immediately stopped, cleaned and sanitized numerous times. They also disposed of 50,000 pounds of pork product that could have been contaminated. The employee has been suspended, pending the outcome of an investigation of the matter.
Honestly, what further investigation needs to happen? We can all see the video. What else could he have possibly been doing?
