Recently China has implemented a “social credit system” to keep citizens in check and yeah, basically the show Black Mirror is real and we’re screwed.
We’ve talked about the social rating system before and while having the government watch and score your every move seems to crazy and terrible to be true, it’s very real and journalist James O’Malley has tweeted proof!
O’Malley was on a train between Beijing and Shanghai when an eerie announcement came over the PA system.
The robotic voice basically tells passengers if they do not follow the regulations of train riding, said behavior will be logged and have negative effects in the “individual credit system.”
So don’t go thinking just because you’re mobile you are not being watched, Big Brother is always watching…always…*shudders in Chinese*.
