Woman Fighting To Keep Her Motorcycle-Riding Pet Alligator (Video)

Of course this story comes to us from Florida

Mary Thorn of Lakeland, Florida is in the fight of her life to keep her pet, but her pet isn’t the traditional dog, cat or gerbil.  Her “pet” is a six-foot-long, 125-pound alligator named Rambo.  She’s had him since he was a little gator, but when he recently topped the six-foot mark, Wildlife officials told her that, because of Rambo’s size, he now needed 2.5 acres of land to live on.  But Mary says that Rambo has a light sensitivity, so even if she had the acreage for him to roam, he wouldn’t be able to since he stays inside most of the time.

As if it’s not odd enough already that she has a pet alligator, Thorn also dresses Rambo in clothes, takes him for rides on the back of her motorcycle, has trained him not to bite and takes him to schools to help teach kids about reptiles.  Yeah.

Her case is now under investigation by the Florida wildlife commission.
