There are some things people take as seriously as religion, and for many football is one of them. Every team has a rival and the fans are die-hard one or the other. Well, high school football is no different!
At this New Jersey high school football matchup between Brick Township and Brick Memorial High School things got pretty heated! Apparently the fight was not just over the game but because a Brick Memorial student ran over to the Brick Township section to take back their team’s stolen flag.
A parent, Laura O’Donnell, shared that this rivalry has been a long-time coming and that it’s something that has probably been instilled onto these kids from their parents who experienced the rivalry. “I really don’t think any lessons [were] learned, to be honest with you, cause I just think it will continue,” said O’Donnell.
Still, one question remains. Whose side are you on?
