Washington State Senator Apologizing After Insulting Nurses Everywhere

Recently Washington State Senator Maureen Walsh made a comment that infuriated nurses everywhere and now she is apologizing.

Walsh was standing up debating a bill that would give nurses mandatory uninterrupted meals or breaks during their shifts and one of her counterpoints was that would negatively impact smaller, more rural hospitals.

Compared to bigger hospitals with seemingly more patients, Walsh said those nurses probably have plenty of time for breaks and even said they “probably play cards for a considerable amount of the day.”

Of course nurses everywhere were pissed and she has since had to apologize and she halfdid but also agreed to shadow a nurse for a 12-hour shift.

We respect nurses here, lady!
