A simple statement in an interview after an exciting moment may get UFC fighter, Sam Hughes, in a bit of trouble.
After winning a big fight, she was speaking with the media when she said her boyfriend bet $1,000 on her to win, therefore winning money himself.
The reason this may be an issue? Per Brobible, “The UFC recently implemented strict rules that bans fighters and those close to them to bet on fights amid an ongoing federal investigation into insider betting within the organization.”
We’ll see how this plays out for her…
