“Everything is unprecedented until it happens for the first time.” Tom Hanks returns to our big screen on Friday, March 24 from 6:30 – 8:10 p.m. (610 Quincy Street, downtown) in “Sully.” Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film follows Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger’s successful emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River in January 2009. Sully subsequently experienced second-guessing by investigators and the weight of his sudden fame. Starring Tom Hanks, the film is based on the memoir “Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters.” Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney co-star.
