Lunch & Learn: Author & Historian Paul Higbee

May 16, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Local history buffs, meet author and historian Paul Higbee, Wednesday, May 16 from noon to 1 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs). Higbee will discuss material that didn’t make it into his latest book, “South Dakota’s Cowboy Governor Tom Berry: Leadership during the Depression.” Governor Berry led the state in the 1930s, through the worst of the Depression and Dust Bowl.

Higbee’s previous books explore Bear Butte, Spearfish Canyon and Mount Rushmore’s Hall of Records. He was the recipient of the Governor’s Award for History in 2001. He serves as the Black Hills correspondent for South Dakota Magazine, writing from his home base in Spearfish, SD.

While lunch registration is closed at this time, feel free to bring a lunch and join us for this event.
