New Zealand ‘X Factor’ Judge Fired For Shaming A Contestant (Video)

Two judges on The X Factor in New Zealand were fired this week for mean comments they made to a contestant on Sunday.  Their names are Natalia Kills and Willy Moon, both pop stars in New Zealand, and also husband and wife.

Natalia got angry because the guy dressed up like Willy for his audition, even though his look is pretty generic.  Basically all the guy did was comb his hair the same way and wear a suit.  But for some reason Natalia was outraged, and called it “disgusting.”  Then the husband said it was like something a serial killer would do.  Huh?

It’s also worth mentioning that the host of the show was dressed the exact same way, and no one mentioned it. Mediaworks, the company that owns the channel that The X Factor airs on in New Zealand, released the following statement:

Last night on X Factor both Kills and Moon made comments that were completely unacceptable.

While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges

Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive. We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately.
