Cincinnati Police Officer Shows Incredible Restraint When Apprehending Murder Suspect (Video)

A police officer in Cincinnati is being praised for how he handled taking down a double-murder suspect last week.

Officer Jesse Kidder of the New Richmond Police Department was following the suspect in his car when the suspect suddenly pulled over, jumped out of his car and began to charge at him with his hands in his pockets.  Instead of firing, which is most would expect any officer to do in a similar situation, Kidder kept his cool, kept his gun trained on the suspect and kept his distance.  The suspect then lunged forward at the officer, causing him to fall backwards.  After getting back on his feet, he somehow got the suspect to surrender, just as backup arrived.

It is believed that the suspect was attempting “suicide by cop,” because he had his hands in the air and was yelling “Shoot me!”

Check out the dramatic footage from Officer Kidder’s body camera below.
