Seeing videos like the one below just reinforce the fact that there are some very, very evil people in the world.
Early Friday morning, a woman was walking down the street in New Orleans when she was approached by a man with a gun. In the video below, the man can be seen dragging the woman out of frame. A good samaritan, 25-year-old Peter Gold who is a med student at Tulane University, saw the situation unfold and attempted to intervene. The gunman turned his gun on the student and shot him in the stomach. He then pointed the gun at the student’s head and pulled the trigger again. Luckily, the gun jammed and the man grabbed the woman’s purse and took off.
New Orleans police have identified the gunman as 21-year-old Euric Cain. Cain is now wanted for attempted first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and armed robbery. A $12,500 reward has been offered for Cain’s arrest.
A representative for Gold says that he is recovering, but is still listed as being in “guarded” condition.
