The contenders, dressed in full medieval armor and holding shields and swords, look as though they are straight from the 15th century. Each fight, if there ends up being more than one, will have three three-minute rounds. Instead of getting nailed with punches and kicks, fighters are getting nailed with blows from swords and shields.
This whole thing seems like it might be more tiring than regular MMA because of having to carry all that weight the whole time. The first fight ends with a pretty lack luster applause for the winner. Although it is an interesting concept, this might not be something that gets any legs.
