The runners line up on their starting blocks with a telling nonchalance– they’ve done this before. They’re confident. Perhaps too confident. At the exact moment the start gun goes off, this girl completely forgets how to human. Her legs somehow become disconnected from her brain and go rogue, sending her face first into the ground with all of the momentum she was hoping would carry her to victory.
Aww, poor kid. This girl had it all. The respect and admiration of her peers, the love of her family and even a potential career as a runner. But after this devastating face-plant, all of her aspirations are surely dashed. It all seemed to be going so well, too.
