Space. It truly is the final frontier! And just yesterday, that frontier appears to have expanded just a bit.
NASA made a pretty big announcement at a news conference yesterday. They announced that as many as seven earth-like planets have been discovered “beyond our solar system.” Some of these planets are in the “habitable zone,” are approximately the same size as Earth and could actually contain water! Great! So when are we going there? Well, not so fast.
Unfortunately, these “exo-planets” are 40 light years away. So we’re probably not making it there anytime soon. But it’s still cool nonetheless!
