Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory posted a video last week talking about an issue that is very important to her: women being called “girls” by men. She talked for a few minutes about the social implications that occur when this happens and essentially said that when a grown woman is called a “girl” by a man, it says that she is below him, even if it’s subconscious.
