Man Had Toes Removed to Replace His Missing Fingers (Video)

Seventeen years ago, Jeremy Payton lost multiple fingers on his right hand in a British factory accident.

Payton got his hand caught up in a power blending machine and went to the “first-aider” at the factory and said “I think I’ve taken some skin off my hand.” When he looked he had actually taken more than just the skin, but all his fingers. A coworker then got the fingers from the machine and put them on ice.

Doctors tried to sew two of them back on but it didn’t take, leading to the decision to harvest some of Payton’s toes as replacements. Doctors removed his big toe from his left foot to replace his thumb along with the second and third toes from his right foot.

After the surgery and healing time, Payton was able to take care of his newborn twins and now can cut lettuce, play golf and even drive a manual car!

Toe on (or off) with your bad self, man!
