8th Grader Turns in Pocket Knife to School and Gets Suspended (Video)

An 8th-Grader at a Brownsville Area Middle School realized he accidentally left a knife in his pocket and turned himself in to the office.

Apparently no decently good deed goes unpunished though because, even though Thomas Ross Jr. did the right thing, he was then issued a citation from the school’s officer and was suspended for three days.

Ross said the knife ended up in his pocket that day after he had helped his dad open a box with it the night before and wore the same shorts to school the next day. The school’s “zero tolerance” policy came into play, unjustly so, and did not hear him out or reward him for doing the right thing.

At least now, the lesson Ross learned was to basically never say anything again and hope nobody finds out, which totally makes more sense.
