Student Cashes In Rewards Points To Live Lavishly Through Loopholes (Video)

This law student has made his fortune by using credit cards to buy collectible Canadian coins that can be used as legal tender.

Avery would buy the coins with a credit card, get the rewards points, then immediately deposit the tender into his bank account in a loophole called “Manufacture and Spend.” Which means someone buys something that is the equivalent of cash, uses it to pay back the card and then also reaping the benefits of the rewards points or cash back.

By doing this each week, he racks up free flights and miles pretty quickly and is able to fly around the world, first class no less.

Eventually the Canadian mint and banks have caught on to this loophole that many others have caught on to and stopped the face-value trade of coins but there is still an online community and it has not slowed the flow much for Avery.

We’re sure students everywhere can give mad props to this kid! It seems a little too complicated for us, but good for you, guy.
