A Woman Called 911 Because Her Toilet Was Clogged (Video)

A Cedar Rapids woman has been found guilty of making a false report after she called 911 for a non-emergency. And it turns out she’s made a bit of a habit of doing this recently.

In January, 54-year-old Loretta Jones called 911 two times because she was having issues with her TV and cable box. She followed up those calls with three more 911 calls because her toilet was clogged and she couldn’t get it to flush.

Police eventually responded to her house, saw that her toilet was indeed clogged and confirmed that it was NOT an emergency. Not surprisingly, they found that alcohol was involved in Jones’ numerous 911 calls. Your tax dollars at work, folks!

Making a false report is a misdemeanor, which means that Jones will only have to pay a fine and will not face jail time.
