Young Jesse Hernandez definitely had an interesting Easter when he fell into the depths of the Los Angeles sewer system and had to spend 12 hours in there waiting to be rescued.
Hernandez was having an Easter picnic in the park when he fell 25 feet down a hole in an abandoned park building and landed in the poo tubes of LA.
For those 12 hours, Hernandez was stuck in pipes about four-feet in diameter making his way through flowing sewage and left skid marks on his way through for the rescue team to be able to sniff out his trail later. Smart kid!
Once Hernandez was found and rescued, with only a couple scratches and horrifying memories as injuries, the city sanitation manager described the rescue.
“This young man rose like Jesus,” sanitation manager Bryant Jones said.
So in the end, what we can take away from this is if Jesus can rise from the dead and little Jesse Hernandez can rise from the bowels of Los Angeles, you can make it through anything!
