Shamokin is having a counterfeit crisis and Nicki Krize is here to whine about it…Okay maybe she’s not whining like her name suggests but she’s here to warn you!
Over the past two weeks local police have been seeing an increase in the amount of counterfeit bills being turned in which has caused many stores to up their game when it comes to spotting fakes!
The most common counterfeit bills coming in are $100, $20, $10 and $5 but if you find out you have one of these fake bills you won’t be reimbursed because it goes straight to the secret service, so watch out!
What Nicki Krize suggests is if you have a bank account make sure to just use your debit card! Who would have thought that’d be a solution!?
We guess if you’re in Shamokin and don’t want to use a debit card you should invest in one of those fancy marker/pen things and hope for the best!
