Yesterday on the Today show, President Bill Clinton was asked to comment on the Monica Lewinsky scandal from 20 years ago, in the light of the #MeToo movement. Clinton didn’t seem to appreciate the question too much and went on a rant about how many of the facts from the 20-year-old incident have been omitted.
Clinton was also asked if he ever apologized to Monica Lewinsky, to which he originally said that he had. But when pressed on the issue, the president said that he did not apologize to her personally but that he “apologized to the whole world.” Clinton said that he did not feel the need to apologize to Lewinsky now.
