Steve Levy Celebrates 25 Years With ESPN With Oral History Of The ‘Bulging Disc” On-Air Blooper (Video)

We all know everyone in broadcasting is far from perfect and sometimes words just get a little scrambled. Just look at Free Beer! It happens!

What rarely happens, though, is when just one word flub follows you 25 years throughout your career but that’s what happened to ESPN’s Steve Levy!

If you don’t know Steve Levy, maybe the “bulging disc” story will spark your memory!

Back in 1995, Levy was giving an update on the Patriots’ Maurice Hurst and his bulging disc injury, however instead of “disc” Levy said another body part that starts with “D.”

He laughed throughout the rest of the segment and definitely thought he would be fired but it all blew over and followed him for 25 years and he’s now known as the “bulging disk guy.”

Recently, Levy went on the Dan Patrick Show to give his side of the story as an “Oral History” it’s just as hilarious to him now.
