As John Mulaney put it, we all really grew up thinking we would encounter quicksand a lot more than in real life.
It turns out, most of us will never encounter it in our lifetimes!
Well, it finally happened (unfortunately) to this man who was hiking in Zion National Park.
The man got his leg stuck in the quicksand and was unable to free himself until help arrived hours later!
He did not end up getting sucked all the way down like in the movies but it definitely has confirmed all of our childhood fears, all the cartoons were right!
