People Sing Hyms As Fire Consumes The Notre Dame Cathedral

The infamous 850-year-old Notre Dame cathedral caught on fire yesterday and it shook the world.

It’s not clear yet what caused the blaze, but the historical landmark had been undergoing restoration efforts.

It took 400 firefighters to get it under control, but not before the spire on top collapsed and two thirds of the roof was destroyed.

The two main stone towers in front weren’t damaged, however, one has to wonder how 13th century oak and other materials will hold up.

It was such a rattling sight, crowds of people stood in the streets of Paris and sang hymns as it happened in solidarity.
